Family Circle Chiropractic Now Offers FAA BasicMed Physical Exams

$125 for pilots who qualify (see below)

The Federal Aviation Administration BasicMed Physical Exam is for pilots eligible for the BasicMed Program. Pilots can do a BasicMed Exam in lieu of the Type 3 FAA Exam provided he/she has had any FAA Exam Certification since 2006 and is one of the following:

Private pilot, Student pilot, Flight Instructor, or Recreational Pilot (Exclusions are Balloon, Glider and Sport pilots, who need no exam, just a driver’s license.)

The FAA allows pilots on the BasicMed program to fly under these conditions:

  • Planes with 6 occupants or less.

  • Takeoff weight is under 6000 lbs.

  • Plane flies under 18,000 ft.

  • Plane flies less than 250 knots (280 mph)

  • Operates under VFR or IFR within the U.S.

  • Pilot receives no compensation for piloting.

PLEASE NOTE: YOU ARE REQUIRED TO COMPLETE THE FAA FORM 8700-2 Sections 1 and 2 PRIOR TO YOUR SCHEDULED APPOINTMENT, AND BRING THE COMPLETE FORM IN HARD COPY.

If you cannot bring a hard copy of the form, please arrive at least 30-45 minutes before your appointment so that you can fill it out before your exam.
